WHAT IS NUANS REPORT? Print E-mail

A NUANS report is a five page computer generated report from a national central data system owned by the Government of Canada. It provides details on all relevant names that are similar, close or confusing with your proposed name, including corporate names, sole-proprietorship names and trade mark names. To register your corporate name Federally and in most provinces, including Ontario, together with your articles of incorporation, you must submit a NUANS report to the jurisdiction in which you wish to incorporate your business.
